Using freehand machine embroidery to create collagraph prints

Service Description
2 day workshop : 10am - 4pm £140 Minimum age – 14yrs Level – Any We will use sewing machines to create freehand, organic, textural pieces of stitched thread and fabric. These will then be glued to collagraph card and we will explore adding additional textured materials and using mark making techniques to create a highly textured and interesting collagraph plate. The second session will be all about printing from these plates onto paper. We’ll explore different ways of inking the plate to create a series of prints on paper. Participants need to bring their own sewing machine. if you don’t have a sewing machine but would like to take part, please email me, I might be able to source a spare one for you. All materials are included in the price. Tea, coffee and soft drinks are provided. Please bring a packed lunch.

Cancellation Policy
Workshops can be cancelled and refunded up to 14 days before the start of the first session. If I have to cancel a workshop, I will let you know as soon as possible and you can choose between an alternative date or a refund.
